Kay’s is a great place for breakfast lunch or dinner. There’s a large room in the back that could handle an office lunch. I always bought my exact same breakfast, but was finally convinced to try a few other things. ALL DELISH! And it always helps when the owner is such a sweetie-pie. Oh oh
Ordered an egg over medium, crispy bacon and rye toast. And got JUST THAT! Breakfast cooked perfectly. Waitress was friendly and the senior gentlemen conversing at the counter....bonus!! May make this my Wednesday morning stop more frequently.
Country fried steak is one of my favorite dishes to gauge how good a home-cooking restaurant truly is. It just so happens to be the Monday dinner special here at Kay's, and we wandered in on a Monday, so voila! Cooked to the ultimate state of perfection - mashed potatoes were creamy, gravy was plentiful on the meat and mashed without overdoing it, the meat was sumptuous inside and crunchy on the outside. Is it Monday again yet?
We LOVE the all you can eat fish on Friday nights. The wait staff is wonderful and attentive to our needs. The cook staff is great and we never have to wait long for our food or drinks.
